Host institution: Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry
Project Supervisor: Dr Jan Deussing
I am a graduate in Human Biology with a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology. I carried out my master’s thesis in the topic of Parkinson’s disease and autophagy at Karolinska Institute in Sweden. I am currently within the PurinesDX network as a PhD candidate at Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry in Germany where I study the involvement of the purinergic P2X7R in depression.
Why are you doing a PhD?
I am doing a PhD because I believe the theoretical and practical education that I will be provided will give me the tools that I need to become a professional neuroscientist.
